Filmmaking is viewed as a craft of the privileged. But Storytelling is innate in humans. It’s the first thing we did for leisure – We painted on the walls of caves. Told stories. Why should the medium then be a barrier ?
HOGA eschool, an initiative by HOGA Films, strives to dismantle this illusion of exclusivity and make filmmaking accessible to everyone.
Take a look at Laxman’s Story – the first achiever in this initiative.
This is where HOGA eschool was born.
An ecological revolution is unfolding on the outskirts of Jaipur. What was once a barren village is now transforming into DHUN, a self-sustaining ecological community. It’s not just a rural haven but a potential hub for holistic living. Laxman is a testament to this transformation, working, learning, and thriving in DHUN.
Laxman
is not alone
He is among the growing number of learner’s from Rural india. HOGA e-school is progressively breaking barriers by offering knowledge and experience through workshops and masterclasses. From cinematography, writing and editing to design, art and mixed media, DHUN has become a hub where industry experts generously volunteer their time and expertise. Students are taking on work and education in diverse fields. It is a hub where culture and storytelling find the perfect playground, laying the foundations of a full-time HOGA e-school Fellowship.
Workshops
Not just students, HOGA e-school beckons alike all those who would like to teach. As time progresses, more sanctuaries akin to DHUN will bloom across India, hosting diverse programs that facilitate learning within and beyond their regions.

Hawalaat
Theatre
Play
The satirical play is based on the famous story ‘Hawalaat’ penned by playwright Sarveshwar Dayal Saxena. The story unfolds with the meeting of three youngsters and a policeman on a chilly winter night and proceeds as an interrogation reveals how everyone has made a mockery of the system and principles which were fabricated for our own good. The story tries to project as well as raise a few critical issues that seem to have no permanent solutions in the democracy.
